CMorris8-1.jpgBruceton Mills, WV, February 28, 2025 — Clear Mountain Bank officials have announced that Randall Underwood has been elected to serve on the bank’s board of directors.

Underwood has been with Clear Mountain Bank since 2015 and serves as the bank’s executive vice president and chief banking officer. He has more than 50 years of experience in the West Virginia banking industry, including previously holding executive and board level positions with community banks in central West Virginia, and he has been a fixture in banking business and activities throughout the state during his career.

Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank. “He provides outstanding guidance and leadership as a member of the bank’s executive management team, and his knowledge of the community banking landscape in West Virginia is unmatched. Underwood is a native of Webster County and began his banking career in 1974 at the former Webster Springs National Bank. He held leadership and board member positions at community banks in Webster and Randolph counties for many years before moving to Morgantown in 2010. In addition to his current role at Clear Mountain Bank, Underwood is also a member of the board of directors for the West Virginia Bankers Association and is a former member of its operations and pension committees.

Underwood is a graduate of Glenville State College, the Mellon School of Banking, the West Virginia School of Banking, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. His list of community activities during his career is extensive and includes the Morgantown Area Partnership, Webster Springs Chamber of Commerce, ElkinsRandolph County Chamber of Commerce and the Randolph County Development Authority. He has also held various leadership positions for the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals, the Mountain State Forest Festival, and the Webster County Woodchopping Festival. He also currently serves as corporate council member for the Greater Cumberland (MD) Committee.
