Clear Mountain Bank is proud to announce that Steven Street has been chosen as the recipient of the bank’s Brian F. Thomas Community Service Award for 2023. This award is presented annually to a Clear Mountain Bank team member who demonstrates a true commitment to community service, philanthropy, and volunteerism.
Street has been with Clear Mountain Bank since 2018 and currently serves as a credit analyst for the bank. A life-long resident of Preston County, Street has devoted countless hours as a volunteer with the Masontown VFD as part of their Fire and Resue, Swift Water Rescue, and Medical Services units. When Steven is not spending his spare time serving the emergency services of the community, he volunteers working with Preston area youth at the Preston County Youth Center.
“I’m pleased to congratulate Steven as the recipient of this year’s Brian F. Thomas Community Service Award,” said David Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank. “Steven shows his local community focus each and every day through volunteering countless hours serving the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department and EMS for many years. He is doing amazing volunteer work in his community and serves as a true inspiration that we all can make an impact in our communities," Thomas added.
As part of this award, the bank provides a $500 monetary gift to the winner and a $500 donation to a charitable organization of the winner’s choosing. Street selected WV Caring as his charitable organization and the bank has donated $500 to the organization.
The Brian F. Thomas Community Service Award was founded in honor of Clear Mountain Bank’s former president and CEO, the late Brian F. Thomas. The award is designed to recognize the bank team member who best exemplifies Brian’s vision for and commitment to community service and philanthropy. Nominated by colleagues, the recipient must demonstrate a selfless devotion to community service and volunteerism by serving their community and local organizations over their lifetime. Street is the sixth recipient of the award since its inception in 2018.
