Jeff Jenkins, BSA/compliance officer for Clear Mountain Bank in Bruceton Mills, will retire on April 28th after 46 years of service.

A graduate of Fairmont State College with a bachelor’s degree in business, Jenkins began his career with the bank in 1977 as a computer operator and in 1988 was promoted to internal auditor. In 2015 he advanced to become the bank’s BSA/compliance officer. During his bank tenure, Jenkins was awarded the designation of Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP).

Jenkins is very active in the local community and was recognized by his work colleagues as the recipient of the Brian F. Thomas Community Service Award in 2021.

Throughout his career, Jenkins has devoted numerous volunteer hours to several community organizations, most notably to the Preston County 4-H program, serving as the organizational leader of the Lenox Loyal Workers 4-H Club since 2002. He is past president and currently treasurer of the Preston County 4-H Leader’s Association and serves as treasurer of the Preston County 4-H Foundation and vice-president of the Preston County 4-H camp board. In addition, he is also on the camp staff for Preston County 4-H camps as a local 4-H Club leader and 4-H camp counselor.

A member and past president of the Kingwood Lions Club, Jenkins currently serves as treasurer for the Club. He is an associate member and past treasurer of the Albright Volunteer Fire Department. He has also volunteered for many years for Food for Preston and serves as chairman of the Ag Olympics at the Preston County Buckwheat Festival each year.

Jenkins has lived in Preston County his entire life, growing up near Lenox, WV (Woolen Mill community) and currently resides in Kingwood with his family.
