Clear Mountain Bank is pleased to announce that Chad M. Riley, PE has been elected to serve on the bank’s board of directors.
Prior to this election, Riley served on the bank’s Community Advisory Board, formed in 2019 and comprised of local community leaders from Harrison, Braxton, and Upshur counties who provide guidance and advice to the bank as it grows its footprint in the North Central and Central West Virginia regions.
Riley currently serves as vice president and partner of The Thrasher Group, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm providing engineering, architecture, environmental, and field services to a broad range of clients across the Mid-Atlantic region. He has been with Thrasher since 1996.
"We are excited to welcome Chad to the Clear Mountain Bank board of directors. Given the growth and success that we have experienced in Harrison County in recent years, we felt that it was important to have someone who lives and works in that community serve on our bank’s board of directors. Chad has been an active member of our Community Advisory Board since its inception, and in that role, he has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a true passion for helping the local community grow and prosper, and these attributes, among others, make him a great addition to our bank board,” said David M. Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank.
A lifelong resident of Harrison County, Riley attended Fairmont State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is also a professional engineer registered in the states of West Virginia and Maryland, and has affiliations serving on numerous business, professional, and community boards.
Riley and his wife Shelley reside near Shinnston. They have four children and outside of work, he enjoys serving the community and spending time with his family and their various activities.
